Hasanveyh is the founder of the Hasanveyhî Kurdish Emirate; the emirate is named after him in the Cibâl region in northwestern Iran (Volume 1, p. 119).

Hasanveyh forced the Büveyhî vizier Ebü’l-Feth into peace in exchange for 50,000 dinars, goods, and pack animals (Volume 1, p. 120); despite establishing good relations with Rüknüddevle, he defeated the army sent by Muizüddevle to Şehrezor in 355/965 west of Erbil (Volume 1, p. 120).

İbn Miskeveyh’s Tecâribü’l-ümem provides valuable information about Hasanveyh’s construction activities and his relations with the Büveyhîs that is not found in any other source (Volume 1, pp. 123, 124); İbnü’l-Esîr’s el-Kâmil is also a valuable source for the establishment of the Hasanveyhîs and the activities of their emirs (Volume 1, p. 125).
